On October 15, the first 40-meter precast box girder of the Qinghai Yangqu Route Realignment Project of the 15th Bureau of Sinohydro was precisely positioned on the Yangqu Bridge, marking that the bridge construction of the Yangqu Route Realignment Project has officially entered the superstructure construction stage, laying a solid foundation for the efficient advancement of subsequent works.

The Yangqu Bridge has a total length of 788 meters and consists of 7 units and 19 spans. The entire section has a total of 72 40-meter precast box girders, and it is one of the controlling works of the entire project.

Since the start of construction, the project has faced multiple challenges such as high altitude, extreme weather, mountainous and hilly terrain, and complex construction conditions. While focusing on the construction of the key works of the hollow thin-walled piers of the Yangqu Bridge, the project also focused on the construction of the cylindrical piers in the latter half in the direction of bridge erection. Various control objectives such as project quality, progress, and safety were decomposed in an all-round and refined manner. To ensure the smooth erection of the first precast box girder of the Yangqu Bridge, the project department refined the time nodes and clarified the division of responsibilities from scheme optimization to bridge erection machine assembly, acceptance, and girder slab transportation and erection, and dynamically supervised the implementation throughout the process, ensuring that the first box girder was precisely positioned as planned and setting an efficient benchmark for subsequent box girder erection.

The starting and ending points of the Qinghai Yangqu Route Realignment Project both connect to the existing highway from Santala to Huangashatou. The entire route is mainly controlled by connecting to the old road at the starting and ending points and bypassing landslide bodies. After completion, it will eliminate the impact of landslide bodies and deformation bodies on the existing highway after the impoundment of the Yangqu Hydropower Station, creating a safe, economical, and convenient passage for herdsmen along the route.
