1. Give priority to consideration in the scheme design stage
Reduce the embedment depth of the underground structure:As a building-type solution, its cost is the lowest. By reasonably adjusting the embedment depth of the underground structure, the anti-flotation problem can be preliminarily addressed at the building layout level.
Actively increase the structural self-weight:This belongs to the structural-type solution, with relatively low cost. Simply put, it means "adding weight" to the building and relying on its own weight to enhance anti-flotation capacity.
2.Improvement of foundation base and surrounding soil
Improvement of foundation base and surrounding soil:This is a geotechnical-type solution with high flexibility. It can be used in combination with other anti-flotation measures or implemented alone, helping anti-flotation by improving the soil.
3. Measures to be adopted when conditions permit
Active control of groundwater:Not to be used alone. When conditions permit, groundwater can be regulated through methods such as sealing with a water-stop curtain and guiding with open or covered drainage channels to achieve anti-flotation.
Extended base slab method:To be adopted in combination with other schemes when conditions permit, extending the base slab to improve anti-flotation performance.
Utilizing existing support structures:To be adopted in combination with other schemes when conditions permit, using ready-made support structures to assist anti-flotation.
Stiffness increase method:To be adopted when conditions permit, but the strength of components needs to be checked and calculated, resisting buoyancy by enhancing structural stiffness.
4. Measures to be adopted after evaluation and comparison
Anti-flotation anchor method:To be adopted after evaluation and comparison, suitable for use in combination with natural foundations, using anchors to provide support for the building's anti-flotation.
Anti-flotation pile method:To be adopted after evaluation and comparison, suitable for use in combination with pile foundations, and the compressive capacity of anti-flotation piles should be utilized as much as possible.
5. Traditional and mixed types
Counterweight balancing method:A traditional scheme that needs to be adopted in combination with the above schemes and takes priority over anti-flotation components, but high-density materials should be used with caution.
Mixed method:The combined use of two or more anti-flotation measures, but note thatit is not recommended to use the counterweight balancing method together with anti-flotation components.
