On October 13, the Chuosijia Hydropower Station, for which the Chengdu Engineering Corporation of PowerChina undertook planning studies and full-stage survey and design, successfully achieved the important milestone of lowering the gates and impounding water. Once completed, the station will provide important support for the construction of the "Northwest Sichuan Ecological Demonstration Zone" in Aba Prefecture and for clean energy development in Rangtang County.

The diversion tunnel of the Chuosijia Hydropower Station is approximately 21.2 kilometers long, making it the longest diversion tunnel among hydropower projects currently under construction in China. The station is located in Rangtang County and Jinchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and is the third-stage station in the cascade development of the main stream of the Chuosijia River, with a designed installed capacity of 392 megawatts. During project construction, the Chengdu Engineering Corporation adopted independently developed intelligent advanced geological comprehensive forecasting technology for the entire tunnel section, achieving multi-method cross-validation and three-dimensional data fusion, ensuring efficient and safe tunnel construction and demonstrating industry-leading technical capabilities.

The station complex mainly consists of a head concrete sluice dam, a long diversion system on the left bank, and a surface power generation powerhouse, with a total reservoir capacity of 1.162 million cubic meters. As an important project with power generation as its primary development task, the Chuosijia Hydropower Station, once completed, will become a key project for promoting local economic development and improving people's well-being, and is of great significance for advancing the development and utilization of regional clean energy and economic and social development.
