At 11:18 on October 15, good news came from the shores of the South China Sea: Unit 4 of the China Resources Haifeng 2×1000 MW Expansion Project, constructed by Henan Engineering Company, successfully completed its 168-hour full-load trial operation and was officially handed over for commercial operation, adding another important power source support to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area!

The China Resources Haifeng Power Plant is located in Xiaomo Town, Shenshan Cooperation Zone, Shenzhen, and is a major backbone power plant in Guangdong Province and a key clean coal power project under the 14th Five-Year Plan. Unit 4, now put into operation, is part of the Phase II expansion project and adopts advanced ultra-supercritical double reheat technology, with a designed net coal consumption for power supply of less than 265 g/kWh and a deep peak-shaving capability of 20% BMCR. It is equipped with flue gas desulfurization and denitrification facilities as well as solid waste disposal facilities, enabling clean and efficient energy supply while helping Shenzhen build a "zero-waste city."

After the project is completed, it can integrate and transmit clean energy such as offshore wind power and pumped storage through the second eastern Guangdong-to-Shenzhen transmission channel, adding approximately 10.5 billion kWh of electricity generation annually. It will become an important supporting and regulating power source for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, providing solid guarantees for a new round of rapid development in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone and for stable energy supply in the Bay Area.

During the contract performance period, the project team of Henan Engineering Company anchored its management goals on a high starting point, high standards, high quality, and high efficiency. It withstood the enormous pressure of frequent rainfall and typhoons during the peak construction period, overcame many difficulties such as limited work sites, an extremely tight schedule, and delayed arrival of core equipment, and ensured that the project progressed on schedule and with high quality through round after round of intensive efforts, rush work, and perseverance, setting an energy pearl on the shores of the South China Sea and at the hub of the Bay Area.
