From October 9 to 10 local time, LOT2 of the National Road No. 1 Rehabilitation Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 14 Co., Ltd., successfully passed temporary acceptance.

On that day, an acceptance team composed of the owner's representatives, the supervision group, and others carried out the temporary acceptance work for the project. Through a detailed inspection of the completion of works along the route—including pavement rehabilitation, drainage ditches, catchment drop chutes, and parking areas—the acceptance team highly recognized the quality of the completed works, determined that they met the temporary acceptance conditions stipulated in the contract, and unanimously agreed that LOT2 should pass temporary acceptance.

LOT2 of the DRC National Road No. 1 Rehabilitation Project has a total length of 194 kilometers, starting at Bukanga Lonzo village and ending at Kahemba village. The project officially commenced on December 10, 2021. During construction, the project team overcame adverse factors such as the global COVID-19 pandemic, the high incidence of typhoid and malaria, and an unstable social security situation, while also addressing practical difficulties such as the long span of the route and the long transport distances for stone materials, and successfully completed the construction tasks.

At the temporary acceptance meeting, the head of the acceptance team pointed out that among the four lots, LOT2 faced the most prominent difficulties—the most severely damaged pavement, the most complex terrain, and the lowest unit price—yet the project team still overcame numerous challenges and successfully completed the construction tasks, fully demonstrating the company's valuable spirit of contract performance. He said: "In my career, your company is the partner I have worked with that has the smoothest communication, the most rigorous work, and the most outstanding spirit of contract. I congratulate the project team on the successful completion of the construction tasks and look forward to continuing to cooperate with your company in the future."

As one of the country's most important material transport corridors, the DRC National Road No. 1 Rehabilitation Project is divided into four lots, with a total route length of 286 kilometers. With the completion of the rehabilitation works on the LOT2 section, it will effectively promote connectivity among regions along the route and drive local economic and social development.
