Recently, as a Zoomlion crane placed the final section of a miter gate into position with millimeter-level precision, the hoisting of all miter gates at the Qingnian (Youth) Hub ship lock of the Pinglu Canal was completed, marking the start of the installation phase for miter gate accessories and electromechanical equipment, and creating favorable conditions for subsequent system installation, commissioning, and integrated testing.

The Pinglu Canal is a backbone project of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor and the first canal project built since the founding of New China to connect rivers to the sea. The Qingnian Hub is one of the three major hubs of the Pinglu Canal. The miter gate is the "heart" of the ship lock; its hoisting precision and construction quality directly affect the safety, stability, and navigation efficiency of the lock's operation, making it the top priority in the hub's construction.

The Qingnian Hub ship lock requires the hoisting of 4 sets totaling 8 miter gates. Each miter gate at the upper lock head is prefabricated in a factory and hoisted on site in 4 sections, with each gate weighing 341 tons; each miter gate at the lower lock head is manufactured and hoisted in 6 sections, with each gate weighing 645 tons. Through close coordination and full collaboration of the Pinglu Canal construction management team, Zoomlion cranes helped complete this hoisting task with millimeter-level hoisting precision control. The miter gate hoisting will provide a model reference for similar engineering projects and is of significant reference value for advancing China's inland waterway shipping engineering construction to a new level.
