Recently, the Third Great Craftsman Innovation Exchange Conference and Great Craftsman Forum, hosted by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, was held in Chongqing. At the conference, the first batch of the "Great Craftsman" talent list was officially released. Long Weiguo, a commissioning fitter at the Engineering Crane Branch of Zoomlion, a senior engineer and senior technician, was successfully selected, becoming one of the first recipients of this honor. This is also another national-level honor and commendation he has received since being awarded the title of "National Model Worker" this year.

Great Craftsmen are outstanding representatives of highly skilled talent. The Great Craftsmen selected and cultivated by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions this time are a group of highly skilled talents who "excel in leadership, achievement, innovation, focus, and transmission," covering important national industries and key fields.

Commissioning is the final checkpoint before crane delivery and is the "lifeline" of quality. In his work, Long Weiguo has always stayed rooted on the front line of equipment commissioning, continuously exploring and innovating to safeguard the rollout of crane products. Since entering the industry, Long Weiguo has commissioned more than 2,000 pieces of equipment and completed 15,000 operations, honing outstanding technical capabilities; together with his team, he has overcome more than 30 industry commissioning challenges and implemented more than 200 technical improvements, becoming a "National Model Worker," "National Youth Post Expert," and "National Technical Expert." In addition, he has participated four times in guaranteeing CCTV live broadcasts for national celebrations. Just this year, he and the project team stayed in Beijing for 90 days and successfully completed the CCTV live broadcast support task for the September 3 military parade.

Not only does he remain rooted in his own post, but Long Weiguo also always remembers to pass on the torch and cultivate more craftsman talent. It is understood that, to date, the "Long Weiguo Skills Master Studio" has trained more than 40 core commissioning backbones and more than 300 large-tonnage operator-machine handlers, and has carried out more than 100 technical seminars and training sessions in total. In addition, he has lectured four times in professional talent training courses for other Belt and Road countries, training more than 50 senior technicians, technicians, and senior workers for the international construction machinery industry.

Long Weiguo said: "From an ordinary crane commissioning worker to a National Technical Expert, and then to a National Model Worker and Great Craftsman, my growth would not have been possible without the company's cultivation." It is reported that Zoomlion has always attached great importance to talent cultivation, discovering, cultivating, and bringing together talent through innovative practice, and has built more than 20 skills master studios at the national, provincial, municipal, and company levels. It has a number of national-level skills masters and a large number of provincial, municipal, and district-level skills masters and craftsmen, becoming a cradle for cultivating model workers, craftsmen, and skills masters.

At the same time, Zoomlion also aims at the frontier of innovation and carries out talent training projects such as the "Lion Plan" technical leader "Science and Innovation Camp" talent training project, the "Intelligent Leadership Camp" technical backbone empowerment training project, and the "Intelligent Manufacturing Field Engineer" talent project, vigorously cultivating "three-oriented" talent geared toward digitalization, intelligence, and greening.
