On September 26 local time, the Lot 4.1 section of the Nouadhibou Water Distribution Project in Mauritania, undertaken by PowerChina Port & Waterway Engineering Co., Ltd., successfully passed completion acceptance.

The Nouadhibou Water Distribution Project is a key livelihood project of the Mauritanian government and is of great significance for alleviating local water shortages and improving people's livelihoods. As the core part of the project, the Lot 4.1 section mainly includes the construction of a 40-kilometer DN800 ductile iron water transmission pipeline from the Boulenouar water source to the urban area, along with supporting valve chambers and other facilities. It is a key link in building Mauritania's modern water supply network.

Since construction began in April 2023, the project team has faced multiple challenges, including high temperatures in the Gobi Desert, year-round sandstorms, complex geology, and remote construction sites. The team remained committed to quality and effectively overcame the impact of the harsh environment by optimizing construction organization and introducing adaptive technical solutions. All personnel worked together to overcome difficulties in material allocation and logistical support, and on the basis of ensuring excellent project quality, successfully completed all construction tasks on schedule.
