On September 27 local time, Equatorial Guinea's Prime Minister Nsue and his delegation visited the Djibloho Hydropower Station and its upstream regulating reservoir, both built by PowerChina, for an inspection. Officials from relevant departments of the Equatorial Guinean government and personnel from the PowerChina Equatorial Guinea Representative Office accompanied the inspection.

At the Djibloho Hydropower Station project site, Prime Minister Nsue and his delegation successively visited core areas including the station's central control room, the generator unit plant, the upstream regulating reservoir dam and the flood discharge facilities. In front of the large screen in the central control room, the operation and maintenance engineers, through a real-time data visualization system, gave the Prime Minister a detailed introduction to the overall composition of the hydropower station and reservoir, the core operating principles and the current operating status. Prime Minister Nsue highly recognized PowerChina's project construction quality and operation and maintenance service level. He pointed out that the Djibloho Hydropower Station is not only a landmark livelihood project under bilateral cooperation between Equatorial Guinea and China, but also a vivid testimony to the friendship between the two countries. Over the years, the PowerChina team has overcome challenges such as the great difficulty of construction during the rainy season and the inconvenience of equipment transportation, completed the project construction with high quality, and has always remained at its post since commissioning to ensure the stable operation of the station, providing solid guarantees for local livelihood and well-being and industrial development. He welcomed PowerChina to continue to participate deeply in Equatorial Guinea's energy and infrastructure construction, and to jointly push the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries to a higher level.

The Djibloho Hydropower Station is hailed as Equatorial Guinea's "Three Gorges" project. It is an energy cooperation project within the framework agreement between the governments of China and Equatorial Guinea, with PowerChina responsible for the specific implementation of the project. The station is located in the middle reaches of the Wele River and consists of a 320-meter barrage, a 1,230-meter water diversion tunnel, a power generation plant and other components, with a total installed capacity of 120 megawatts. The completion and commissioning of the project has brought abundant and clean power resources to the mainland region of Equatorial Guinea and has played an important role in the country's social and economic development.

In recent years, PowerChina has successively undertaken a number of livelihood projects in Equatorial Guinea, providing solid support for the local economy's diversified development. In the future, PowerChina will continue to carry out project operation and maintenance to higher standards, while actively exploring cooperation opportunities with Equatorial Guinea in fields such as energy and infrastructure, so as to contribute more PowerChina strength to Equatorial Guinea's goal of achieving sustainable energy development.
