September 23, 2025, Beijing — As it celebrates 25 years of supporting communities in China, the Caterpillar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Caterpillar Inc., announced thatit will donate a cumulative total of up to USD 10 million in China over the next five yearsto support local charitable projects. This donation will continue to focus on four key areas: vocational skills training, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, sustainable natural infrastructure, and disaster preparedness and mitigation, to help build thriving communities in China.

Guided by its mission of "building thriving communities," the Caterpillar Foundation is committed to investing in the skills people need for employment, as well as the natural and critical infrastructure on which people depend. To achieve this goal, the Foundation continues to provide grants to local nonprofit organizations to support this work. Over the past 25 years, the Caterpillar Foundation has donated a cumulative total of more than USD 18 million to over 21 nonprofit organizations in China.

Recently, the Caterpillar Foundation provided funding support to Junior Achievement China to help students better enter the workplace and start their careers. The Caterpillar Foundation has also partnered with the China Environmental Protection Foundation to promote coastal wetland restoration and afforestation in desert areas, in order to prevent soil erosion, improve the ecological environment and bring economic benefits to local communities.
