On September 10, members of the project team for the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology major special project "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Intelligent Equipment for Large-Diameter Shield Tunnels"—including Lu Chunfang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Cheng Fei, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Railway Group, along with experts from relevant units—visited CRCHI for research. Zhao Hui, Party Secretary and Chairman of CRCHI; Luo Jianli, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer; Han Jialin, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager; and other leaders accompanied them.

At CRCHI's Changsha Second Industrial Park, the world's largest high-end underground engineering equipment manufacturing base, Lu Chunfang and his delegation successively visited CRCHI's main bearing production line, the Original Technology Source Achievement Exhibition Hall, and the testing center, and highly affirmed CRCHI's achievements in overcoming core technologies of tunnel boring machines and building major national equipment.

During the research visit, Lu Chunfang and his delegation listened to reports by CRCHI,China Railway Fourth Survey and Design Instituteand China Railway 14th Bureau Group on the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology major special project "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Intelligent Equipment for Large-Diameter Shield Tunnels." They provided key guidance on aspects such as intelligent driving, intelligent cutter replacement, and geological identification for large-diameter shield machines, and clarified the follow-up research route and direction. Cheng Fei made arrangements for the project's subsequent work.
