On September 1,2025the selection results of the Science and Technology Award of the Guangdong Provincial Construction Industry Association were officially announced. The Lei Bin Innovation Studio of Shenzhen Gongkan Geotechnical Group Co., Ltd. successfully made the list among numerous declared projects across the province with two core R&D achievements that solve key technical challenges in the industry. Among them, "Comprehensive Construction Technology for Removal of Waste Cast-in-Place Piles in Low-Clearance Areas of Shield Tunneling Crossing Zones Beneath Viaducts and Protection of Bridge Foundations" was awarded the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, and "Comprehensive Green and Environmentally Friendly Construction Technology for the Whole Process of Rotary Drilled Cast-in-Place Piles" was awarded the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress, adding important achievement support to the company's scientific and technological innovation work.

Introduction to the Lei Bin Innovation Studio
The Lei Bin Innovation Studio was established in 2009. In 2019 and 2020, it was named "Guangdong Provincial Model Worker and Craftsman Talent Innovation Studio" by the Guangdong Provincial Housing and Urban-Rural Development Trade Union Committee and the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, respectively. Growing from small to large step by step, it has gathered the company's technical strength. The studio's "small signboard" has been built into a big stage for the company's scientific research, and a virtuous cycle of innovative development has been gradually explored. From 2009 to now, the studio has initiated 182 research projects, all of which have passed national and provincial expert evaluation and appraisal, reaching internationally advanced, domestically leading, or advanced levels; it has obtained 86 authorized invention patents, 284 utility model patents, and 4 design patents; various achievements applied to actual projects have been rated as 236 Guangdong provincial-level and Shenzhen municipal-level construction methods; it has won 226 various science and technology awards and achievement awards at provincial, ministerial, and municipal levels, published 11 monographs, and published more than 100 papers, achieving fruitful R&D results and significant economic benefits.
