On September 3, 2025, the 64MW photovoltaic project in Pabna, Bangladesh, jointly undertaken on an EPC basis by Fujian Institute, successfully obtained the Commercial Operation Date (COD) license after 31 days of rigorous testing and officially entered the commercial operation stage. This is another benchmark project by Fujian Institute, following its first overseas PV EPC project—the Sirajganj PV project—that overcomes complex scenarios through technological breakthroughs.

The project is located in the Rajshahi region of northern Bangladesh, near the downstream channel of the Padma River (Ganges), covering an area of approximately 195 acres. It is the second phase of Bangladesh's largest new energy project cluster—the 500MW new energy power generation project cluster. Once operational, the project will generate approximately 110 million kWh of clean electricity annually, equivalent to saving 43,000 tons of standard coal, and can significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 110,000 tons.

During the project construction process, the team adopted technical solutions tailored to special scenarios, including elevated-pile PV foundations, overhead collector lines, multi-module intelligent centralized inverters, capacitor-SVG coordinated schemes, and full-area intelligent monitoring. These provide replicable and scalable "Chinese experience" for similar subsequent projects in Bangladesh and help raise the local new energy industry's technical level.

As an important new energy supplement for northern Bangladesh, the project will further alleviate the local tight power supply situation, increase the share of clean energy in the overall energy mix, and help the country achieve its strategic goal of "15% renewable energy share by 2030."
