On August 28 local time, the upgrading and renovation project of the National University of San Antonio Abad in Cusco, Peru, undertaken by Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), held a grand inauguration ceremony. University Rector Eleazar Crucinta attended and delivered a speech, and representatives of faculty and students participated in the ceremony.

Eleazar Crucinta spoke highly of POWERCHINA's outstanding performance capabilities demonstrated in the project construction. He noted that the newly built modern office building not only significantly enhanced the overall image of the campus, but will also effectively optimize the university's administrative and teaching processes, injecting strong momentum into the continuous improvement of higher education quality. He expressed the hope for continued in-depth cooperation with POWERCHINA in the future to jointly promote educational development and talent cultivation in the Cusco region and create a new model for regional higher education construction.

The project is located in the urban area of Cusco, a historic and cultural city in Peru. The construction content includes the demolition of an original three-story building and the construction of a new modern university administrative office building with two underground floors and nine above-ground floors on the original site. The new project covers an area of 6,423.92 square meters, with a total building area of 15,270.32 square meters, integrating administrative, teaching and research, conference and other functions. The building features a scientific and rational structure and complete facilities, significantly upgrading the hardware facilities of the National University of San Antonio Abad and providing faculty and students with a higher-quality and more comfortable teaching and office environment.

The project is not only a comprehensive upgrade of campus facilities, but also a successful model of China-Peru educational cooperation. During construction, POWERCHINA actively employed local labor, boosting local employment and earning unanimous praise from the local government and the university.
