On August 25, the Niuling Reservoir Project in Anhui Province, one of the 172 major water conservancy projects in China undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 4 Co., Ltd., successfully passed the acceptance inspection for commissioning. This marks that this major water conservancy project, which serves multiple functions, officially meets the conditions to fully serve regional development.

The Niuling Reservoir Project in Anhui Province is located in Jing County, Xuancheng City. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 167 million cubic meters, and the power station has an installed capacity of 19 megawatts. The power station is primarily focused on flood control and also serves functions such as water supply, power generation, and irrigation. The project completed full-capacity commissioning for power generation in November 2024.

To ensure the project successfully passed the acceptance inspection, the project management team upheld a rigorous and efficient work attitude, making careful arrangements and thorough deployments. They successively completed tasks including river diversion and closure for the reservoir, lowering of gates for water storage, commissioning of the first and last generating units, and acceptance inspection upon contract completion, providing strong guarantees for the project to ultimately pass the acceptance inspection for commissioning and move toward the formal operation stage.

The Niuling Reservoir Power Station is connected via the southern Anhui power grid to the Anhui provincial power grid and further to the East China bulk power grid, providing peak-shaving capacity of up to 25,500 kilowatts. The power station has an annual power generation capacity of 69.51 million kilowatt-hours and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 55,000 tons per year. While ensuring a stable power supply in East China, it also contributes positively to achieving the "dual carbon" goals.
