Recently, the Dongwuyang Grand Bridge on the Ningde–Shangrao Expressway, constructed by Zhejiang Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd. and co-built by Fujian Kaihui, was successfully closed, opening up an important corridor on the expressway from Ningde, Fujian to Shangrao, Jiangxi.

The bridge has a total length of 2,546.6 meters and spans the Dongwuyang sea area in Ningde. It is a key control project on the Ningde–Shangrao Expressway. Fujian Kaihui deployed 16 tower cranes in succession to support the project's construction. Because equipment transport, installation and subsequent dismantling operations for the project were all carried out at sea, and Piers 14–16 are the main bridge piers, the tower crane wall ties adopted extra-long tie rods. By optimizing equipment selection, Fujian Kaihui's technical team reduced the number of wall ties, effectively improving construction efficiency on Contract Section A1 of the Xiapu–Fu'an section of the G1514 Ningde–Shangrao National Expressway in Fujian Province.

The Ningde–Shangrao Expressway is an important part of China's expressway network, and the bridge's closure has laid a solid foundation for achieving full-line connectivity by the end of 2025. Once completed, the bridge will strongly promote the development of coastal industries and tourism in eastern Fujian and enhance the region's overall strength and competitiveness.
