Recently, a large wind farm in Shandong achieved a key breakthrough. XCMG Group's latest thousand-ton-class wind power flagship product, the first XLC15000M (1,100-ton-class) crawler crane, was officially put into practical operation, completing its first lifting task on the front line of new energy construction in East China.

This construction required the precise lifting of a nacelle with a total weight of 140 tons to an altitude of 160 meters, facing the dual challenges of high-altitude wind speed variations and positioning accuracy, which placed extremely high demands on the equipment's micro-movement capability, wind resistance stability, and control precision.

The XLC15000M rose to the challenge using a 171+8-meter superlift configuration. Under intelligent control and micro-adjustment, the nacelle was lifted smoothly and precisely positioned in just 40 minutes, fully demonstrating the equipment's stability and precision in ultra-high-altitude, large-tonnage lifting operations.

As a strong performer in the field of wind power lifting, the XLC15000M boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 1,100 tons and a maximum lifting moment of 14,580 ton-meters. Its capabilities cover the integral lifting of various wind turbine models with hub center heights below 160 meters and capacities of 10 MW and below, and it can meet the industry challenge of split lifting at heights of 170 meters. Core innovations include:

Patented counterweight separation technology: Through the flexible division of labor between large and small pallets, traditional disassembly and assembly steps are eliminated, increasing superlift configuration efficiency by more than 30%.

Folding design of the superlift travel device: Combined with optimized transport dimensions, it effectively reduces transportation costs, enabling rapid relocation and efficient installation, and significantly lowering customers' overall operating costs.

On-site operator Master Chen spoke from experience: "Adjusting the outriggers with the remote control is so handy—it saves both time and effort! The dual winches hoist quickly and smoothly without any hiccups. This job is getting done with efficiency soaring." The humanized operation combined with the mature control system served as an important guarantee for the smooth completion of this lifting operation.

The successful debut of the XLC15000M is not only a powerful validation of XCMG's technical strength in thousand-ton-class wind power cranes, but also a direct manifestation of its efficient contribution to green energy construction. The deployment of the XLC15000M is providing important equipment support for accelerating the transformation of the national energy structure and promoting the achievement of the "dual carbon" strategic goals.
