2022 · Cloud Connectivity:The seventh competition was held entirely online for the first time, with the theme of"Energy Powerhouse and Rock Mechanics"promoting innovation in energy extraction, energy storage technologies, and intelligent monitoring, and demonstrating a new model of remote collaborative research.

I. Focus on Cutting-Edge Themes:

Deep exploration of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology across the entire chain of rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering, with five technical tracks:

⌾ Intelligent monitoring and sensing technologies for geotechnical engineering

⌾ Intelligent transmission technologies for geotechnical monitoring data

⌾ AI-empowered numerical computation in geotechnical engineering

⌾ Intelligent prediction and prevention of geological disasters

⌾ Intelligent construction and automated equipment

II. Dual-Track Competition Format:

Establishingan Industry Groupanda University Student Groupproviding dedicated stages for young talents at different stages.

⌾ Industry Group:Open to young rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering scientists and engineers at home and abroad aged 45 or under (members of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering).

⌾ University Student Group:Undergraduate and junior college students currently enrolled at institutions at home and abroad (supported by the China Association for Science and Technology's 2025 University Student Science and Technology Society Program covering 59 universities; the institution must be an organizational member of the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, or the supervising instructor must be a Society member).

III. Scientific Review Process:

⌾ Registration stage: The Industry Group and University Student Grouplaunch in parallelPreliminary registrationdeadline: September 5, 2025。

⌾ Preliminary review stage: Conducted via correspondence review, with judges composed of industry experts. The Industry Group and University Student Group will eachselect 10 entriesto advance to the finals.

⌾ WeChat voting: Finalist contestants and their achievements will be publicized and showcased via the WeChat official account and the Expert Treasure platform. During the showcase period, votes may be cast for supported contestants and achievements, and the voting results will be incorporated into the final score.

⌾ Finals stage: The finals will be held onOctober 18, 2025inXiong'an New Areaprimarily in the form of innovative achievement presentations.Total score = preliminary round score + WeChat voting score + finals judges' score + finals audience score。

IV. Award Incentives:

      ⌾ Both the Industry Group and University Student Group offer:1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes, and 2 Excellence Awardswith honorary certificates and cash prizes.
