On August 14 local time, North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski inspected the Kicevo-Ohrid Expressway (KO Expressway) constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 7 Co., Ltd.

Hristijan Mickoski went to the construction site to inspect the project progress, and expressed high appreciation and sincere gratitude to the Chinese and North Macedonian employees who have been working day and night on the front line of construction. He hoped that the highest construction standards would be strictly followed, construction would be organized scientifically, and every effort would be made to meet the next milestone of opening to traffic.

It is understood that the KO Expressway construction site involves multi-line coordinated operations, and the construction team has continuously optimized technical solutions and integrated resources, successfully overcoming a series of challenges. The Podmolje Interchange went into operation that day; as an important transport hub connecting Ohrid and Struga and leading to Albania, it greatly enhances cross-border traffic efficiency and lays the foundation for achieving the goal of opening the core section to traffic on schedule for the peak Ohrid tourism season.
