Recently, with the smooth landing of a calibration aircraft numbered B-129X, the 20-day flight calibration of the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Third Runway Expansion Project, constructed by PowerChina Airport Construction Company, was successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the project to be put into operation within the year.

As a key step before the new runway is commissioned, this flight calibration was carried out by a professional crew from the Flight Inspection Center of CAAC, focusing on a comprehensive inspection of 16 items including the instrument landing system, navigational lighting system, runway and taxiway systems, and flight procedures of the third runway expansion project. Under the guidance of the CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration and the Shenzhen Regulatory Bureau, Shenzhen Airport worked in close collaboration with units including the Shenzhen Air Traffic Management Station and PowerChina Airport Construction Company, overcoming difficulties such as tight schedules, heavy tasks, and weather impacts, and completing all calibration tasks with high quality.

The third runway of Shenzhen Airport is 3,600 meters long and 45 meters wide, built to the highest 4F standard, and can meet the takeoff and landing requirements of large airliners such as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747.
