     The Huajiang Canyon Bridge is using"the world's No. 1 in both horizontal and vertical dimensions (bridge height and main span of mountain bridges)"as a major IP to promote the combination of the bridge with culture, tourism and sports. Combined with the Triassic geological and historical resources of the area where the bridge is located, it strives to create the theme of "Encounter the Triassic at the Bridge, Cross the Ancient Ocean through the Clouds" and showcase a new benchmark for China's bridge-tourism integration.

     The bridge will also be built intoChina's first bridge-tourism complex integrating "bridge sightseeing + bridge sports experience + tourism services", linking the Huangguoshu, Longgong, Shuangrufeng and Sanchahe scenic areas to form a one-hour tourism circle and help Guizhou build a "world-class tourism destination." Among them, the 207-meter-high sightseeing elevator will provide visitors with a unique sightseeing experience once completed.

     At present, Guizhou is pursuing further development of bridge-tourism integration through four major measures:

     First, standards take the lead.In order to guide and direct the in-depth integrated development of bridges and tourism in Guizhou, the province, together with the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, jointly issued the "Quality Grade Classification and Assessment of Bridge-Tourism Integration Projects in Guizhou Province (Trial)" standard, establishing design principles and construction standards for bridge-tourism integration projects and guiding the healthy development of emerging forms of bridge-tourism integration.

     Second, planning comes first.In order to make full use of the fame of Guizhou's world-class bridges, the province, together with local governments, jointly prepared bridge-tourism integration development plans. For example, for the Huajiang Canyon Bridge, the "Master Plan for the Huajiang Canyon Bridge Bridge-Tourism Integration Tourism Area" was prepared. Following the idea of "creating attraction on the bridge and productivity under the bridge," the Huajiang Canyon Bridge and more than 50 square kilometers of surrounding area were included in the planning scope to build a tourism scenic area in a coordinated manner.

     Third, design in advance.In the bridge design stage, the needs of later bridge-tourism integration were fully considered. Calculations were made from the structural perspective, and embedded parts for tourism facilities were reserved, leaving sufficient conditions for the development of bridge-tourism integration.

     Fourth, adopt a full-cycle operation mindset.Focusing on the three major elements of "resources, customers and services," the integrated development of "bridge + industry" is promoted. As early as the beginning of the bridge's construction, four top-level plans were prepared, namely the "Business Plan for the Huajiang Canyon Bridge Bridge-Tourism Integration Central Scenic Area," the "Planning Scheme for the Huajiang Canyon Bridge Cool Play Air Park," the "Planning for the Asset Package of Investment Promotion Projects" and the "Brand Strategy for the Huajiang Canyon Bridge Bridge-Tourism Integration Project," making the positioning and business formats of the bridge and service area more reasonable.

     The bridge-tourism integration of the Huajiang Canyon Bridge marks Guizhou's bridge-tourism integration moving toward a "diversified industrial ecosystem."

     In recent years, the approach to bridge-tourism integration has shifted from merely viewing from afar and checking in to in-depth, zero-distance experiences. This has activated surrounding tourism resources, driven rural revitalization, deeply integrated transportation engineering with tourism, culture and ecology, and formed a distinctive development path of "bridge-tourism integration."

     The Pingtang Bridge and the Sky Bridge Service Area, invested, built and operated by Guizhou Transportation Investment Group, are the first bridge-tourism integration demonstration project in Guizhou approved by the Ministry of Transport, receiving more than one million visitors annually. In addition to the functions of an ordinary service area, the Sky Bridge Service Area features camping accommodations,a bridge museum, an astronomy science museum, an astronomical observatory and more. The Jiayu Hotel located in the service area allows visitors to enjoy high-end accommodation while experiencing up close the grandeur of bridge engineering and the magnificence of natural scenery. The vigorous development of bridge-tourism integration has verified the economic potential and social value of "turning bridges into scenic areas."

     Next, Guizhou Transportation Investment Group will continue to play its role as a vanguard in promoting the integrated development of transportation and industry in Guizhou, deepen transportation-tourism integration and bridge-tourism integration, promote cross-sector linkage of "transportation + tourism," and contribute the strength of Guizhou Transportation Investment to building Guizhou into a world-class tourism destination.
