On July 15, Shandong Heavy Industry Weichai Power and the Feicheng Municipal People's Government, and Weichai New Energy Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong 014 Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Feicheng, Tai'an. Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Director of the Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group; Yang Hongtao, Party Secretary of Tai'an; and Li Lanxiang, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Tai'an, held discussions and exchanges and witnessed the signing. Ma Changhai, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Party Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of Weichai Group; Zhang Li, Party Secretary of Feicheng; and Song Jie, Chairman and General Manager of 014 Company, participated in the event.

Currently, Shandong Heavy Industry Group is accelerating its strategic transformation toward new energy and cultivating and strengthening new quality productive forces. The new-type battery electrode materials industry led by Feicheng has been listed as a Shandong provincial distinctive industrial cluster and a national-level distinctive industrial cluster for small and medium-sized enterprises, with comprehensive industrial chain support and a policy support system. As a leader in the industry, Shandong 014 Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. possesses proprietary Prussian blue-based sodium-ion battery technology in the sodium-ion battery field and has leading industrialization capabilities. Under the agreement, Weichai Power and Feicheng, and Weichai New Energy Technology Co. and 014 Technology Co., will take sodium battery technology innovation as the guide and industrial chain integration as the link, jointly advance key technology breakthroughs in sodium-ion advanced materials, battery cells and battery systems, accelerate the large-scale application of sodium-ion batteries in commercial vehicles, energy storage and other fields, and jointly cultivate a new energy industry ecosystem.

Before the meeting, Man Shengang and his delegation visited the Weilan Technology Industrial Park in Feicheng and conducted on-site research on the product R&D and manufacturing of 014 Company.
