On the morning of July 7, the roar of excavators broke the silence of the snowy plateau, as the Tibet Ali Snowy Plateau Water Intake and Heating Project, undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 3 Co., Ltd., officially commenced construction.

The project is located in Shiquanhe Town, Gar County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, at an average altitude of 4,350 meters, in a typical plateau mountain climate. The works include a water intake pipeline about 5 kilometers long and a heating pipeline about 18 kilometers long. After winning the bid, Sinohydro Bureau 3 attached great importance to the project, promptly coordinated all parties, allocated resources, and organized rapid mobilization. Overcoming factors such as the high altitude and inconvenient transportation, and after active preparation, the project successfully achieved its construction start goal.

To ensure the entire project's "9.30" heating milestone and "12.30" power generation milestone, according to the construction schedule, off-site water must enter the site before July 25 for commissioning of power generation equipment. The off-site water intake and heating project directly affects two major milestones of the entire project. The project department responded quickly, coordinated actively, and organized effectively, fully demonstrating Sinohydro Bureau 3's contract performance capability and strength, while also reflecting the sense of responsibility a central state-owned enterprise should have in boosting development in Tibetan areas.

The construction of this project will help Sinohydro Bureau 3 continuously accumulate technical experience in new energy infrastructure construction in severely cold regions. It marks a technical milestone breakthrough for Sinohydro Bureau 3 in the application of clean energy in extreme environments, and provides a replicable technical model for solar thermal heating to help Tibet build a "National Clean Energy Base."
