On July 4 local time, Dai Hegen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), held talks with Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of Etihad Water and Electricity, in Dubai. The two sides conducted friendly exchanges on deepening practical cooperation in infrastructure construction and the energy sector.

Dai Hegen expressed gratitude to the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Etihad Water and Electricity for their long-standing strong support for CRCC's development in the UAE, and briefly introduced CRCC's basic profile and key project construction in the Middle East. Dai Hegen stated that CRCC has always attached great importance to the UAE market. In recent years, leveraging its integrated whole-industry-chain service capabilities, CRCC has successfully implemented a number of key projects, including Phase II of the UAE Railway and the Sky Blue Hotel, deeply integrating itself into the modernization of the UAE's infrastructure. At present, China-UAE relations are enjoying sound momentum, and the Belt and Road Initiative is deeply aligned with the UAE's national development strategy, with great potential and broad prospects for cooperation. CRCC will further leverage its core strengths in infrastructure and high-end equipment manufacturing, actively participate in major projects of Etihad Water and Electricity and the UAE, and inject more "Chinese wisdom" and "Chinese solutions" into the upgrading of the UAE's urban infrastructure system, taking concrete actions to be a deep participant in China-UAE cooperation, a firm promoter of China-UAE friendship, and a trustworthy long-term strategic partner of the UAE.

Suhail extended a warm welcome to Dai Hegen and his delegation and spoke highly of CRCC's positive contributions to the UAE's infrastructure construction. He stated that the UAE is currently accelerating its energy structure transformation and infrastructure upgrading, and CRCC's strong technical strength and rich project experience will provide solid support for the UAE's national development strategy. The UAE side will, as always, support the development of Chinese enterprises, including CRCC, in the UAE, continuously optimize the business environment, and promote the upgrading of bilateral cooperation. He expressed the expectation that both sides will take the Belt and Road Initiative as an opportunity to continuously deepen project cooperation in clean energy, water infrastructure and other fields, create exemplary projects of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between China and the UAE, and strengthen cooperation in infrastructure construction in other countries and regions to achieve win-win development.
