When traditional mining trucks measure fuel consumption per kilometer in "liters," how can new energy mining trucks use technology to redefine energy consumption standards? In mining scenarios where payloads often reach hundreds of tons, how can these steel "giants" achieve a balance between safety and energy savings on steep slopes? This is not only an essential proposition for industry transformation, but also the profit code facing every mine.
As the roar of mining transport meets the wave of the new energy revolution, a hardcore contest of strength unfolds with passion at the Jiangxi Yadong Cement mining area! On June 26, the first stop of the 2025 "Yutong Cup" New Energy Mining Truck Safety and Energy-Saving Competition ignited, centered on full-scenario real testing, fully transparent data, and all-dimensional competition. It not only demonstrated the technical strength of Yutong mining trucks, but also joined hands with Yadong Cement to jointly envision a new future for green mines.

This competition directly confronted the ultimate challenge of mining transport, selecting two typical operating routes: Route 1 features a 1,200-meter ultra-long downhill with a 60-meter drop; Route 2 features an 800-meter composite road condition with a 36-meter drop. Ten Yutong pure electric mining trucks and ten experienced drivers competed on the same stage, with each truck running each route twice and taking the average, fully simulating real operating scenarios.
As leaders from Yadong Cement and Yutong Mining Truck jointly waved the starting flag, the competition officially began. Drivers brought out all their skills, combining what they had learned in training with their own experience, and engaged in fierce competition across the routes.

After intense competition, the event concluded successfully and the results were freshly announced. In terms of energy saving, on the 1,200-meter ultra-long downhill with a 60-meter drop, Yutong mining trucks achieved a minimum energy consumption of 5.5 kWh per single trip (2,400 meters both ways); on the 800-meter composite road condition with a 36-meter drop, the minimum energy consumption was 3 kWh per single trip (1,600 meters both ways), interpreting with hardcore data the perfect integration of vehicle performance and driving skills.
The competition was transparent and fair. This event mainly used two dimensions as scoring criteria: each vehicle's energy consumption level and driving behavior evaluation, comprehensively selecting the champion, runner-up, and third place and awarding corresponding prizes, ensuring the authority and fairness of the results.
The champion driver's practical sharing further revealed the "ultimate code" of energy-saving driving: "I am honored to win the championship of this safety and energy-saving competition! In the competition, the energy recovery system of the Yutong pure electric mining truck was truly an 'energy-saving weapon,' allowing me to achieve efficient electric energy regeneration on long downhill sections."
"Of course, driving skills are equally key: gently press the accelerator when starting and maintain moderate power output during acceleration; before uphill sections or intersections, anticipate road conditions in advance and brake lightly to reduce speed; check tire pressure daily to avoid increased energy consumption due to low tire pressure; in summer, open the windows for ventilation first to reduce air conditioning use time, and try to maintain a constant speed while driving, so that the enhanced energy recovery system can deliver maximum efficiency and save 20% of energy!"

This energy-saving driving competition became the "Midas touch" for cost reduction and efficiency improvement! Through safety and energy-saving driving competitions, it can effectively help customers improve drivers' awareness and level of safe and energy-efficient driving.
According to industry data, electricity costs in mining areas generally range from 0.8 to 1.2 yuan per kWh. Taking one Yutong pure electric mining truck as an example, standardized driving can save 10 kWh per day. Calculated at a conservative electricity price of 0.8 yuan per kWh, a single truck can save 2,920 yuan in one year; if the electricity price is calculated at 1.2 yuan per kWh, the annual savings can reach as high as 4,380 yuan! Every cent saved is pure profit that goes directly into the enterprise's pocket!
Pure electric drive puts an end to black smoke pollution and roaring noise in mining areas, while intelligent safety technology acts like an invisible guardian, always protecting transport safety. Since the introduction of 10 Yutong pure electric mining trucks in 2024 and the joint creation of the country's first full-scenario real testing event, Yadong Cement and Yutong Mining Truck have written a vivid chapter for "green mines" through practical actions. This event is a proving ground for technical strength and an important stroke in green mine construction.
In the future, the event will also travel to more mining areas, using energy saving and efficiency improvement as the pen to continue writing a new legend of "zero-carbon transport," which is worth the shared anticipation of every industry partner!

The future of mining transport has already arrived! With "real scenarios, real testing, and real results" as its core concept, Yutong Mining Truck has proven through one event that new energy mining trucks are not only a policy trend, but also the ultimate answer for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in mines. We look forward to joining hands with more partners on a new journey toward green mines!
