On June 19, the "Geotechnical Engineering Handbook" (Volumes I and II), for which the Institute of Foundation Engineering of the China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. took the lead in organizing translation review and proofreading, won the 2024 Excellent Imported Book Award from China Architecture & Building Press. Since its official launch, the book has been reprinted twice and has been widely acclaimed by the industry.

The Chinese translation of the "Geotechnical Engineering Handbook" is China's first professional handbook to systematically introduce the European, especially British, geotechnical engineering knowledge system and practical technologies. The "Geotechnical Engineering Handbook" was led by the Institute of Foundation Engineering of the China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd.
