Recently, the Operation Manual and Maintenance Manual for the King Salman Port project undertaken by SEPCO have successively officially passed the review and approval of Saudi Aramco, and will provide standardized work instructions for the operation and maintenance of the "super shipyard" after it is put into operation.
The operation manual for this project is divided into 4 chapters, covering multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation. The maintenance manual is divided into 10 chapters, covering various process systems, air conditioning systems, pumps and valves, medium- and low-voltage equipment, monitoring systems, etc. The two manuals cover more than 1,000 pieces of plant-wide equipment, more than 3,000 pieces of electrical equipment, and more than 110,000 instrumentation devices. During the preparation of the operation manual and maintenance manual, the project department adhered to a scientific and rigorous working attitude and successively completed the preparation of 1,072 documents. The personnel responsible for each discipline and system went deep into the site to familiarize themselves with various types of equipment, ensuring the professionalism, pertinence, and operability of the two manuals. After the first drafts of the operation manual and maintenance manual were successfully completed, they underwent multiple rounds of discussion and revision and were submitted to Saudi Aramco for review, and were successfully approved on the first submission.
The King Salman Port project is an important part of Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" and is mainly engaged in the manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of ships and drilling platforms, as well as the overhaul and construction of supertankers. The project not only has the world's largest ship lift system, the longest wharf, and world-leading combined lifting capacity, but also, with its massive scale, advanced facilities, and strong production capacity, has become the world's largest "super shipyard." As of now, the project's EPC progress has reached 97.21%.
