To deepen industry exchanges and jointly promote enterprise innovation and development, Beijing Institute of Geotechnical Investigation and Surveying (BGI) has recently been actively building bridges for mutual communication. General Manager Gao Wenming traveled to Shenzhen to attend the Fifth Master Forum of the Beijing Engineering Survey and Design Association (BESDA), and on behalf of BESDA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong Institute of Architects. Meanwhile, sister organizations from Shanghai, Zhejiang and other regions visited successively for exchanges, injecting new momentum into the coordinated development of the industry.

From May 14 to 17, the Beijing Engineering Survey and Design Association held the Fifth Master Forum and Demonstration Project Research Activity in Shenzhen. With the theme of "Adhering to the Long-Termism of Design · Promoting High-Quality Urban Development," the forum aimed to strengthen exchanges within the industry. Gao Wenming, Vice President of the Beijing Engineering Survey and Design Association and General Manager of Beijing Institute of Geotechnical Investigation and Surveying Co., Ltd., delivered a speech.

In his speech, Gao Wenming pointed out that the survey and design industry must adhere to long-termism and take a forward-looking perspective in coordinating urban functions, ecology, culture and people's livelihood, so as to lay a solid foundation for sustainable development. He called for deepening cross-regional collaboration among Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, integrating resources to tackle technical challenges, jointly creating new development models, and contributing industry strength to Chinese-style modernization.

After the meeting, Gao Wenming, on behalf of the Beijing Engineering Survey and Design Association, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation and exchanges between Beijing and Hong Kong.

Hosting the "Youth Voice" 2025 HVAC Designer

On June 4, the "Youth Voice" 2025 HVAC Designer Technical Salon, themed "Energizing Youth, Pursuing Dreams," was successfully held at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center. The event was hosted by the Building Environment Branch of the Beijing Engineering Survey and Design Association and co-organized by our institute. Focusing on "Energy Management," the event specially invited renowned industry experts and young designers to jointly explore new energy management technologies.

Representatives of our institute were invited to deliver a speech and present a keynote report titled "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Multi-Energy Complementary High-Efficiency Energy Stations." The speech noted that under the dual-carbon background, the industry should carry out innovative development and exploration around "HVAC + intelligent empowerment," "HVAC + industrial chain," and "HVAC + ecological chain," and called on HVAC colleagues to firm up confidence and jointly write a new chapter in energy conservation and carbon reduction.

During the event, participants visited the energy station and smart energy management cloud platform of the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center undertaken by our institute.

Recently, Zhang Changsong, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Geological & Mineral Engineering Investigation (Group) Co., Ltd., led a delegation to our institute for exchange activities. The event centered on the theme of "Ecological Restoration and Urban Safety." Our institute gave a detailed introduction to the development progress of its underground defect detection business, typical cases and research achievements in the field of urban renewal; Shanghai Geological & Mineral Group focused on introducing its work in Shanghai's urban ecological planning, ecological restoration, and trenchless rehabilitation of municipal pipe networks.
