On May 28, Wang Zhijian chaired a business work meeting of KION Group, focusing on research and scheduling for further deepening all-round business synergy between Weichai and KION. He emphasized that China has a mature new energy industry chain, and KION should strengthen supporting cooperation with Weichai Group in new energy powertrain systems, plan ahead, transform rapidly, and seize the opportunities of global new energy industry development.

On the morning of May 29, Wang Zhijian chaired a meeting analyzing the first-half operating performance of European subsidiaries, at which he listened in detail to work reports by executives of Weichai Luxembourg, German Hydraulic Transmission, France Baudouin, Germany Odes, and Austria Weidis. He emphasized that all European subsidiaries achieved relatively good operating results in the first half; in the face of complex and severe challenges in the global economic environment, they should further improve risk analysis and enhance resilience in the second half, assess market conditions in advance and make product reserves, and ensure long-term sustainable and healthy development.

On the afternoon of May 29, Wang Zhijian chaired a business synergy meeting of European subsidiaries, at which he listened to reports on the progress of synergy between European subsidiaries and the Group's domestic business and on the development of the European supply chain. He required that there is broad room for synergy within the Group, and that internal procurement synergy, R&D synergy, and market synergy should be coordinated to leverage the advantages of a large group and enhance overall competitiveness.

Weichai Power's European Science and Technology Innovation Center is located in Aachen and focuses on cutting-edge research in hydraulic power systems. On May 30, Wang Zhijian visited the innovation center for research, toured the electronic control simulation test bench, and listened in detail to reports on cutting-edge technology innovation and collaborative R&D with headquarters. He emphasized that Weichai's European Science and Technology Innovation Center should leverage its technological advantages, strengthen its functional positioning, and expand its business areas to provide technical guidance and collaborative R&D services for all subsidiaries of the Group.

On May 30, Wang Zhijian visited FEV in Germany, toured the new energy and fuel cell laboratories, and held in-depth exchanges with Dr. Pischinger, Chairman of FEV, and technical experts. Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in areas such as pickup trucks, VAN vehicles, large-bore engines, heavy truck gas engines, and new energy test chambers.

On June 2, Wang Zhijian visited AVL in Austria, toured AVL's newly commissioned new energy laboratory, and held discussions and exchanges with Lukas Walter, Chief Operating Officer of AVL. Both sides agreed to continue strengthening exchanges and cooperation in areas such as commercial vehicle virtual simulation and forward design of new energy powertrains.
