From April 14 to 17, Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), conducted research in Hunan. He stressed that discipline inspection and supervision organs must thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, especially General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thought on the Party's self-revolution, firmly uphold the "Two Establishments" and resolutely achieve the "Two Upholds," solidly carry out study and education on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Committee's eight-point decision on improving conduct, advance in depth the campaign to make discipline inspection and supervision work more standardized, law-based and regularized, intensify efforts to ensure that officials dare not, cannot and do not want to be corrupt, and implement the deployments of the fourth plenary session of the CCDI one by one, so as to provide a strong guarantee for advancing Chinese modernization.

Li Xi conducted research at CRCHI's Changsha Second Industrial Park, where Zhao Hui, Party secretary and chairman of CRCHI, reported on the company's relevant work.

At CRCHI and other units, Li Xi required focusing on the "top priorities of the country" to strengthen political oversight, enhance Party conduct and clean government building and anti-corruption work in state-owned enterprises, and help develop new quality productive forces.

During the research, Li Xi chaired a symposium to learn about the progress of discipline inspection and supervision work and to hear opinions and suggestions. He pointed out that it is necessary to resolutely implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions and the major decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee, work hard and overcome difficulties, deepen and substantiate political oversight, persevere in improving conduct, enforcing discipline and fighting corruption, give full play to the role of inspections as a sharp sword, deepen the reform of the discipline inspection and supervision system, and continue to promote high-quality development of discipline inspection and supervision work on the new journey. It is necessary to deeply understand the major guiding significance of promoting the "three nots" in an integrated manner, sum up experience, grasp the laws, thoroughly study existing shortcomings and deficiencies, keep thinking of ways and continuously improve work, and better effectively prevent and control corruption at the source.
