On March 17, during his inspection tour of Guizhou, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that Guizhou must earnestly implement the Party Central Committee's strategic arrangements for the development of the western region and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, adhere to pursuing high-quality development as the overarching principle, take further comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up as the driving force, firm up confidence, work hard with solid effort, seek progress while maintaining stability, and do good deeds with success, so as to present a new image of Guizhou in the process of Chinese-style modernization.

As an important section of the Guiyang–Beihai Expressway in the National Highway Network Plan, the Guiping Expressway is an important component of building the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, with a total length of about 174 kilometers. It is of great significance for improving the regional transportation network and promoting economic ties between Guizhou and coastal areas.

The paving thickness of the Guiping Expressway reaches 6 cm, with a maximum paving width of 15.25 m. With precise paving control technology, XCMG pavers ensure that the asphalt middle layer is uniform and stable.

In the rolling stage, XCMG rollers penetrate deep into the 6 cm structural layer, achieving all-round tight compaction from bottom to top, giving the road surface high strength and stability.

Pan Liangcai, chief engineer of LM4 of the Guiping Expressway, introduced: "Through the intervention of the BeiDou unmanned system, the intelligent construction management platform can display construction trajectories, rolling speed changes, construction speed, and temperature collection, so that quality control can be better managed during the control process."
