On March 31, the Jialing River Main Line of the Yuxi Water Resources Allocation Project, a major livelihood water conservancy project with the largest investment in Chongqing's history, the broadest scope of involvement, and the largest beneficiary population, undertaken by PowerChina Roadbridge Group, achieved full-line water supply.

The Yuxi Water Resources Allocation Project adopts an overall layout scheme of "large concentration in the southern section and small clusters in the northern section." The southern section mainly consists of the East Main Line, the West Main Line, and the Jialing River Main Line. Among them, the East Main Line was completed and opened in December 2024. The Jialing River Main Line opened this time has a total length of 65.9 kilometers. After water supply begins, it can add 126 million cubic meters of water supply annually, effectively improving production and domestic water conditions in Beibei District, Bishan District, and Jiulongpo District, greatly increasing the water supply guarantee rate, and laying a solid foundation for realizing interconnection and mutual regulation and supplementation between the Yangtze River and the Jialing River.

Since construction began on the Jialing River Main Line, it has faced many complex situations and constraining factors. In the pipe jacking project crossing National Highway 212, the 220-meter-long pipe jacking needed to be advanced at an ultra-large slope of 36%, which is a rarely seen construction parameter in China. To overcome this challenge, the technical team developed a "three-synchronization and one-correction" jacking system, using laser guidance to correct deviations in real time, adopting specially made cutterheads to cope with uneven soft and hard rock strata, and innovatively designing segmented jacking to respond to sudden stress changes. Ultimately, the pipe joint alignment reached top industry precision, setting a new record for pipe jacking construction at ultra-large slopes. In the construction of the water intake head of the Caojie Pumping Station, a composite process of "underwater rotary drilling + land-based water grinding drilling" was pioneered, which not only overcame the difficulties of deep-water operations but also achieved a significant reduction in sediment discharge during construction. Together with 24 ecological monitoring points set up along the entire line, it truly fulfilled the green commitment of "construction that does not disturb fish, and station building that does not harm the landscape."
