On March 20, the No. 1 and No. 2 lines of the Uzbekistan Syrdarya Thermal Power Plant to Zafarabad Substation Transmission Line Project undertaken by PowerChina Municipal Corporation were successfully energized, marking the project's entry into the trial operation stage.

The project is a key energy cooperation project under the framework of the China-Uzbekistan Belt and Road Initiative. The double-circuit transmission line has a total length of 274 kilometers, crossing railways, highways, 500 kV lines, 220 kV lines, 0.4-110 kV lines, farmland, and other obstacles, presenting significant construction challenges. Drawing on extensive engineering experience and technical strength, the entire team of the transmission line project department overcame the difficulties and challenges encountered during construction, completed the project with high quality and efficiency, and won high praise from the Uzbek owner.

The completion and commissioning of the transmission line project will effectively enhance grid stability and power supply reliability in the Syrdarya-Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, meet the local growing demand for electricity, and provide strong energy support for local economic and social development. At the same time, it will effectively boost local employment, promote the development of related industries, and inject new vitality into Uzbekistan's economic and social development.
