On March 17 local time, the Abu Dhabi Taweelah Seawater Desalination Project, for which PowerChina's Shandong Electric Power Construction No. 3 Company served as EPC general contractor, officially received the Project Commercial Operation Date (PCOD) certificate issued by the owner. The achievement of this important milestone marks the official completion of PCOD certificate issuance for the world's largest reverse osmosis seawater desalination project, fully demonstrating the company's strong execution capability.

As the company's first large-scale EPC seawater desalination project, the Abu Dhabi Taweelah Seawater Desalination Project brings together the most advanced desalination technologies from more than 10 countries around the world. Located near the Persian Gulf coastline about 50 kilometers northeast of Abu Dhabi city in the UAE, the project has a daily water production capacity of 900,000 cubic meters and is an important livelihood project for Abu Dhabi.
