Recently, the ultra-small turning radius mining Kai-style hard rock boring machine "Boda Hao" (China Railway 1309), jointly developed by China Railway Engineering Equipment Group (CREG) and Gaoyuan Coal Industry, was successfully launched at the Gaoyuan Coal Industry project site in Nayong County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, marking the official start of a new phase of rapid excavation for Gaoyuan Coal Industry's gas drainage roadway.

The "Boda Hao" launched this time is the third TBM that CREG has tailor-made for this project, following the "Changjiang Hao" and "Gaoyuan Hao." The equipment has an excavation diameter of 4.63 meters, adapts to gradients of ±14°, and features ultra-long-distance boring capability, enabling it to handle complex conditions such as continuous small-radius construction on large gradients, high gas concentrations, and weak, fractured surrounding rock. At the same time, the equipment innovatively carries an advanced geological drilling rig and is equipped with a cutterhead door-opening function, further enhancing its adaptability and safety in coal mine strata and providing solid guarantees for efficient roadway construction.

From the earliest blast mining and mechanized excavation to today's hard rock boring machines, mining TBM construction has become an important solution for coal mine roadway excavation thanks to its advantages of low safety risk, minimal environmental impact, high automation, and outstanding construction efficiency. The "Boda Hao" TBM launched this time is another classic case of CREG targeting customer needs and adhering to an innovative philosophy to deliver product and technological transformation for different construction fields.

In recent years, CREG has been committed to solving the challenge of rapid excavation of mine roadways, and has successively developed a series of boring equipment suitable for rock roadway construction in mines, making positive contributions to accelerating and improving the efficiency of projects such as the Guineng Juxin Coal Mine in Guizhou, the Shoushan No. 1 Mine of Pingmei in Henan, and the Huiyuan and Gaoyuan coal mines in Shanxi.
