Recently, the last unit of the Hainan Tianjiaotan Water Conservancy Hub Project, surveyed and designed by Beijing Institute and constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 4, successfully completed a 72-hour trial operation and was officially put into power generation.

The Hainan Tianjiaotan Water Conservancy Hub Project is one of the 172 major water conservation and water supply projects designated by the State Council, with a total reservoir capacity of 194 million cubic meters. The project's development tasks focus primarily on industrial water supply and agricultural irrigation, while also accommodating comprehensive utilization such as power generation.The power station has an installed capacity of 5,000 kilowatts and an average annual power generation of 17.75 million kilowatt-hours. The supporting power station of the project consists of four horizontal Francis units, with 2 units at the canal head power station and 2 units at the dam toe power station, totaling 4 units, all with a rated voltage of 10.5 kilovolts.

To ensure the project's commissioning target, the project management team formulated a detailed trial operation plan, which passed a comprehensive safety and quality inspection by representatives from multiple parties including the owner, supervision unit, manufacturer, and electromechanical installation contractor. During the trial operation, the project management team strictly executed the 72-hour continuous load operation test according to plan, focusing on monitoring key parameters such as unit vibration, temperature, and pressure, coordinating 24-hour shift staffing, using professional testing instruments for real-time monitoring of unit operating status, and recording data such as rotational speed, power, and oil temperature. After the 72-hour full-load trial operation, the units operated stably, with all indicators meeting national standards and satisfying the conditions for handover to the operation management unit for commercial operation.

It is reported that once completed, the Tianjiaotan Water Conservancy Hub Project will effectively leverage the regulation and storage function of a large reservoir, supply industrial water to the Yangpu Economic Development Zone, ensure irrigation water needs for 114,200 mu of land on the east and west banks downstream of the Beimen River, improve land productivity and economic benefits, play an important role in promoting the economic development and urban-rural construction of Danzhou City, and be of great significance for accelerating the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
