On February 27, 2025, the Engineering Crane Branch of the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) organized a review meeting in Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province, for the association standard "Slewing Bearings for Mobile Cranes" (plan number JH-2024-018). Review experts from the Association, research institutes, user organizations, slewing bearing and host machine manufacturing enterprises, as well as members of the standard drafting group, attended the meeting.

Li Jianyou, Vice President of the Association and Deputy Director of the Expert Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Li Jianyou offered specific guidance and requirements for this association standard meeting from aspects including the guidance of national strategy on standardization work, the requirements of national ministries and commissions on standardization work, and the Association's new approach to association standard work. First, the structure of the standard system should be optimized to shift standard supply toward equal emphasis on both government and market, stimulate market vitality, and strengthen the role of standard cultivation and leadership. Second, the application of standards should be promoted in shifting from a focus on industry and trade to the entire economic and social sphere, oriented toward the world's scientific and technological frontiers, the main economic battlefield, major national needs, and the people's life and health, with in-depth special actions carried out to promote regional integration and interaction as well as connectivity and complementarity. Third, the internationalization level of standards should be enhanced to shift standardization work from being domestically driven to mutual promotion between domestic and international efforts. Fourth, the effectiveness of standardization governance should be strengthened to shift standardization development from a quantity-and-scale model to a quality-and-benefit model. Fifth, attention should be paid to the construction of the standardization system and top-level design, to pre-project research, to coordination between higher and lower levels, and to process control. Sixth, emphasis should be placed on the application of standards, giving play to quality leadership and carrying out work through collaboration across the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

Zhang Jian, Deputy Secretary-General of the Engineering Crane Branch, explained the requirements of this association standard review meeting, introduced the seven review experts invited to this standard review meeting and the experts from the drafting units present, and all unanimously elected Qi Jun, Honorary President of the Association and Director of the Expert Committee, as the head of the review panel.

Song Jinyun, Director of the Association's Standards and Regulations Department, introduced relevant national policy documents on association standards, the main achievements of the Association's current association standard work, and the six aspects on which the Association's association standards focus, with particular emphasis on strictly carrying out standard formulation work in accordance with the standardized procedures for national and association standards.

The lead drafting unit, Ma'anshan Fangyuan Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., introduced the drafting approach, work process, and main content of the association standard "Slewing Bearings for Mobile Cranes" (draft for review). The attending experts reviewed the association standard chapter by chapter and article by article, and produced a summary table of review comments and the minutes of the review meeting.

This association standard complies with relevant national laws and regulations and industry development policies, and is consistent with relevant current national standards. The formulation of the standard is conducive to the technological development and application of engineering cranes and fills a gap in similar standards in the industry. The attending experts unanimously agreed that the association standard (draft for review) passed the review, and recommended that the drafting group, after improving it according to the modification comments raised by the experts, submit it for approval as soon as possible. The meeting was a complete success. During the meeting, the organizer also invited attending representatives to visit the enterprise, which received high praise.
