On the afternoon of February 19, the deep-hole emergency gate tie-rod pin-shifting device for the Baihetan Hydropower Station, a new product developed by Sinohydro Bureau 7's Jiajiang Hydraulic Machinery, passed in-plant testing, marking the successful development of the product.

This product is a safety tool for maintenance and repair operations in the gate slots of the deep-hole emergency gates at the Baihetan Hydropower Station. It has successfully passed the platform lifting test, the hydraulic system unloading test, the hydraulic lifting platform raising/lowering test, the pin insertion/withdrawal device extension/retraction test, the pin insertion/withdrawal device lateral movement test, and the pin shaft bracket lateral movement test, with all performance indicators meeting the design requirements.

The deep-hole emergency gate is an important safety facility of a hydropower station, used to quickly close the turbine water inlet in emergencies to prevent the accident from escalating. The traditional installation and removal of pins between tie rods is time-consuming, inefficient, and poses significant safety hazards. Targeting these practical problems and actual working conditions, the Jiajiang Hydraulic Machinery team developed a high-precision, highly stable, and highly reliable pin-shifting trolley, developed an intelligent control system, and adopted visual inspection technology, successfully developing the new deep-hole emergency gate tie-rod pin-shifting device. It uses advanced visual recognition technology to guide the emergency gate tie rod into position quickly and align holes accurately, identify the tie-rod pin holes and automatically adjust its own posture, achieving rapid alignment of the pin shaft with the pin hole and automatic insertion and withdrawal of the pin shaft, thereby improving on-site work efficiency.
