On February 15, the Chongqing East Station section of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6 entered the no-passenger trial operation stage, and the countdown to full-line opening and operation has begun.

The Chongqing East Station section of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6 is located in the Chayuan cluster of Nan'an District. The line starts at Chongqing East Station, passes through Changshengqiao Town, and ends at the existing Liujiaping Station, with a total length of about 6.7 kilometers and 4 stations. In the construction of the Line 6 project, Sinohydro Bureau 5 Co., Ltd. undertook the construction task for the elevated section of the line, including two elevated stations and three elevated intervals, as well as track-laying works for the entire line.

Since the project started construction, in the face of severe challenges such as complex construction sites and numerous technical difficulties, the project team has adhered to the concept of scientific management, actively coordinated resources from all parties, and through systematic scheme optimization, conducted multiple rounds of comparison and adjustment of construction schemes to ensure that every construction measure is scientific and reasonable. At the same time, safety and quality have always been regarded as the lifeline of engineering construction, and a strict quality control system and safety supervision mechanism have been established, with refined management ensuring that the project advances steadily with quality and quantity. During construction, the project team successfully completed the first bridge rotation construction in the rail transit field in Southwest China, and under the condition of multi-disciplinary cross-construction, achieved track connection for the entire line in only 8 months, laying a solid foundation for the smooth completion of the project.

The completion and opening of the Chongqing East Station section of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6 is of great significance for improving the layout of Chongqing's rail transit network, strengthening the comprehensive transportation hub function of Chongqing East Station, and promoting the high-quality development of the Chayuan cluster.
