The Global Construction Machinery Industry Conference and Top 50 Summit held on October 16 released a survey of predictions for future development, unfolding in advance "a picture of the construction machinery industry in the next 5 years."

　　Targeting senior executives of leading domestic Chinese construction machinery enterprises and foreign-funded companies, a survey titled "Predictions for the Industry's Next 5 Years" was organized. The 14 predictions that received more than half of the votes in the questionnaire are as follows:

　　"Predictions" receiving more than 50% of the votes (arranged in descending order of vote share)

　　1. In the next 5 years, the competitive landscape of China's construction machinery industry will basically take shape; the echelon of leading domestic enterprises will basically be formed.

　　2. In the next 5 years, the share of domestic excavators in China will surpass that of foreign-funded enterprises.

　　3. In the next 5 years, Chinese domestic enterprises will demonstrate obvious competitive advantages in global emerging markets.

　　4. In the next 5 years, in China's construction machinery market, the lineup of foreign brands will be reshuffled; in particular, foreign-funded enterprises with inadequate localization will withdraw from the Chinese market.

　　5. In the next 5 years, at least 10 domestic enterprises or brands in the industry will withdraw from the market.

　　6. In the next 5 years, China's construction machinery market will emerge from the trough and return to a sustained upward track.

　　7. In the next 5 years, Chinese domestic enterprises will further improve their industrial layout globally, especially the layout of manufacturing systems.

　　8. In the next 5 years, a new round of channel integration by leading Chinese construction machinery enterprises will be basically completed, and a new channel system will basically take shape.

　　9. In the next 5 years, the proportion of overseas business sales of leading Chinese enterprises will exceed 30%.

　　10. In the next 5 years, China's construction machinery industry will form 5-6 comprehensive manufacturing enterprises, whose total market share will reach 60%-70%.

　　11. In the next 5 years, in China's excavator industry, a competitive landscape in which Chinese and foreign enterprises coexist will basically take shape.

　　12. In the next 5 years, the global construction machinery industry landscape will undergo major adjustments; the scale and status of Chinese enterprises will continue to improve comprehensively.

　　13. In the next 5 years, the average annual growth rate of China's construction machinery industry will be lower than 15%.

　　14. In the next 5 years, alongside organic growth, mergers and acquisitions will become the most direct and most efficient driving force for the growth of leading Chinese construction machinery enterprises.
