Recently, Xue Wei, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia, visited the Ethiopia Regional Project Department of Sinohydro Bureau 1 Co., Ltd. under Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), where he extended warm greetings and careful guidance to the company's overseas employees and conveyed the care and New Year blessings from the motherland.

During the visit, Minister Counselor Xue Wei and his delegation held cordial talks with the overseas employees of Sinohydro Bureau 1, inquiring with concern about their living conditions, work progress and difficulties abroad. In the exchange, Minister Xue Wei fully affirmed the efforts of Sinohydro Bureau 1 and other Chinese-funded enterprises in actively fulfilling their social responsibilities locally and promoting bilateral economic cooperation. He encouraged Sinohydro Bureau 1 to continue upholding the concept of mutual benefit and win-win results, deepen more cooperation with local partners, and persist in localized employment and other measures. He also affirmed POWERCHINA's efforts to strengthen overseas market expansion, promote win-win cooperation between China and Ethiopia, and pursue high-quality Belt and Road development.
