On February 10, at the Yubei Converter Station of the ±800 kV Hami–Chongqing UHV DC Transmission Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Xinjiang Power into Chongqing" project), a key project of the 14th Five-Year Plan, more than 300 workers were deployed at various work sites, carrying out in an orderly manner the installation and secondary commissioning of equipment such as GIS bushings in the AC yard and PLC reactors in the DC yard, with construction on site in full swing. Since February 4, the owner, construction, and supervision personnel of the Yubei Converter Station have gradually returned to their posts and, after completing all preparatory work, have fully resumed construction.

On the morning of February 10, at the site of post insulator tightening in the DC yard of the Yubei Converter Station, five articulated boom lifts stood tall, and ten workers, wearing safety helmets, gloves, and safety harnesses, stood in the lift baskets, using torque wrenches to tighten one by one the connecting bolts between the insulators and their bases. On the ground, five dedicated supervisors watched closely, diligently performing on-site safety supervision.
Meanwhile, at the site of the primary current flow test of 500 kV current transformers in the AC filter yard, three test personnel quickly completed the wiring of test instruments and current transformers, started the test equipment, input the relevant parameters, and began the current flow test.

It is understood that starting from February 4, the project management and construction personnel of the Yubei Converter Station have successively arrived at their posts, performed the resumption procedures in accordance with the "seven-step method" for standardized resumption of infrastructure projects, organized the construction and supervision units to hold a resumption and refocusing meeting, collectively watched the safety warning educational film "Constant Alarm Bells," studied typical violation and accident cases, and made thorough preparations to create safe conditions for resuming work.
Li Ziruo, head of the owner's project department of the Yubei ±800 kV Converter Station of State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company, introduced that 386 personnel involved in the construction of the Yubei Converter Station have arrived at their posts, and all work is proceeding in an orderly manner. At present, 94% of the civil construction and 55% of the electrical construction have been completed. It is expected that the AC system will be ready for energization on April 10, and the bipolar low-end will be put into operation on June 15.
The "Xinjiang Power into Chongqing" project officially started construction in October 2023 and is planned to be completed and put into operation within this year. By then, it will be able to transmit more than 36 billion kWh of electricity to Chongqing annually, helping Chongqing form a new pattern of UHV transmission featuring "one AC and one DC," build a multi-source power mutual-aid system integrating hydro, thermal, wind, and solar power, enhance the supply guarantee capacity of the Chongqing power grid, and provide strong momentum for the high-quality economic and social development of Chongqing.
Next, State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company will make coordinated efforts to control on-site safety, quality, and progress, ensuring that the project is completed and put into operation on schedule.
