Recently, the construction of all 65,584 anchoring helical piles for the 100 MW solar photovoltaic power generation project in Kebwe, Zambia, has been completed, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation of mounting brackets and solar panels.
All employees of the project department overcame the adverse effects of the rainy season on on-site construction, optimized the construction organization process, and adopted a flow-line operation construction model covering pile foundations, mounting brackets, photovoltaic panels, and cable laying, steadily advancing all tasks. To ensure smooth contract performance, the project introduced a utility model patent for piling equipment, completing the construction of more than 60,000 helical piles in just one and a half months, breaking the company's helical pile construction record for photovoltaic projects in Zambia. In addition, the project also adopted a utility model patent for a transformer oil transport device, effectively solving the transportation and installation problems of 22 transformers at the construction site and improving work efficiency; at present, all employees of the project are full of confidence and are going all out to make full preparations for the subsequent completion of the project, so as to ensure that the project can be completed on time and with high quality.
The 100 MW solar photovoltaic power generation project in Kebwe, Zambia, is one of the first development projects of the 600 MW photovoltaic project signed by the company, and is currently the largest solar project under construction in the country. It is located about 35 kilometers southeast of Kebwe Town, covering an area of about 213 hectares. The main construction content includes the installation of 100 MW of photovoltaics, a 33/132 kV booster station, 132 kV double-circuit double-split transmission lines, and the expansion of the Kebwe substation. The project currently employs more than 1,200 local workers, effectively promoting local employment and being highly recognized by the local government and surrounding villagers.
