In mid-January, the risk-elimination and reinforcement project of Fanqiao Reservoir entered its final stage. Once the project is completed, the renovated dam crest road, spillway, and main dam slope will give the entire reservoir dam surface a completely new look.

Fanqiao Reservoir is located in Fanqiao Village, Tuanlinpu Town. It is a medium-sized reservoir primarily used for irrigation, with comprehensive benefits including flood control. The main construction content of this risk-elimination and reinforcement project includes reinforcing and upgrading the dam, spillway, and water conveyance pipeline, with a total investment of 35 million yuan. After implementation, the project will effectively eliminate hidden safety hazards, ensure reliable operation of the reservoir, and comprehensively enhance the district's water resource utilization rate and water security guarantee capacity.

In 2024, the District Water Conservancy and Lakes Bureau seized the "golden period" of water conservancy construction, addressed shortcomings in water conservancy infrastructure, and advanced the risk-elimination and reinforcement projects of six reservoirs, including Fanqiao, Honghe, Chenpo, Liwan, Qunli, and Shichong, to ensure flood control safety, water supply safety, and ecological safety.

It is understood that in 2025, the District Water Conservancy and Lakes Bureau will complete the final work of the risk-elimination and reinforcement projects for six reservoirs, including Fanqiao, Honghe, Chenpo, Liwan, Qunli, and Shichong, actively advance the preliminary work of the Guanchong Reservoir risk-elimination and reinforcement project, and ensure that hidden dangers in the reservoirs are eliminated as soon as possible.
