First Item Project of Baozuo Tunnel 1# Inclined Shaft on the Xicheng Railway Project Successfully Passes Acceptance Inspection

On November 26, the first works project of the large-deformation tunnel section of the China Railway No. 2 Engineering Group's Xicheng Railway project—the No. 1 inclined shaft of the Baozuo Tunnel—successfully passed the assessment and acceptance by the Engineering Management Center of China State Railway Group, marking phased progress in the project's construction.

The Baozuo Tunnel is the first works project of the large-deformation tunnel section of the Sichuan section of the Xicheng Railway. It is located in Songpan County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a total length of 11,795 meters and a design speed of 200 km/h. It is a single-tube double-track tunnel with a maximum burial depth of approximately 625 meters, and is a major and difficult control project for the entire line.

After rigorous and meticulous assessment, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the on-site staffing and mechanical equipment configuration are reasonable, that safety assurance measures such as the oxygen content monitoring system, alarm system, and video surveillance system are complete, that the physical quality and appearance quality meet standards, that civilized construction is highly standardized, and that all management practices are standardized and orderly. They agreed to pass the acceptance covering a total of 79 items in three aspects: tunnel standardized management, resource allocation, and quality control.
