On November 26, the first engineering pile of the Nanjing North Railway Station station building Section 1 project undertaken by China Railway Beijing Engineering Group was successfully drilled, marking the official entry of the project construction into the construction phase.
This section has a total of 3,009 engineering piles, with pile diameters of 800–1,000 mm and pile lengths ranging from 32 to 55 m, cast with C40 underwater and C35 underwater concrete; it is a key control project of this section.
To ensure the smooth progress of the pile foundation, the project department planned ahead and made coordinated arrangements, carefully analyzed each construction stage, formulated technical and construction plans, focused close monitoring on key links such as equipment mobilization, material transportation, and construction process flow, strictly implemented three-level safety education, and organized project management personnel and workers to conduct specialized training on pile foundation control points, precautions, and safety and environmental protection measures, further improving technical proficiency and safety awareness and ensuring the efficient and high-quality completion of all construction tasks.
It is understood that Nanjing North Railway Station is one of the three main passenger stations in the Nanjing railway hub plan, the largest hub passenger station along the Shanghai–Nanjing–Hefei high-speed railway, and the only railway hub in Nanjing integrating high-speed, intercity, and conventional railways. The construction of Nanjing North Railway Station is of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, fostering coordinated regional development between the east, central, and west regions, and supporting the construction of the national-level Jiangbei New Area.
