On November 14 local time, the Huancayo Freedom Hospital project in Peru, undertaken by Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), was successfully completed and handed over. Sosimo Cardenas, Governor of the Junin Region of Peru, attended the completion ceremony.

Located in the Huancayo District of the Junin Region of Peru at an altitude of 3,259 meters, the Huancayo Freedom Hospital is the largest single-building modern general hospital in the area. With a total floor area of approximately 13,000 square meters, the hospital consists of a five-story main building and four single-story ancillary buildings. It houses 42 beds, one general operating room and one delivery room, as well as an outpatient area, emergency care area, laboratory, clinical pathology room and other facilities, and is equipped with various advanced medical devices. Once in operation, the hospital will benefit 120,000 local residents, create more than 200 medical and nursing positions, and greatly improve local medical conditions.

The Huancayo Freedom Hospital in the Junin Region is the third hospital officially handed over by POWERCHINA in Peru. The completion and handover of the hospital coincided with the 2024 APEC Summit in Peru and President Xi Jinping's state visit to the country. With its professional expertise, POWERCHINA has completed yet another livelihood project, earning high recognition from the Peruvian government as the client and contributing to the promotion of China-Peru infrastructure cooperation. POWERCHINA will continue to participate in Peru's national engineering projects with a high sense of responsibility and provide quality services for Peru's construction and development.
