On November 8-10, 2024, with a full house of distinguished guests and a gathering of eminent friends, theMarine Civil Engineering Technology Innovation Conferencewas successfully held in Sanya, Hainan Province. The conference conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on new technologies such as marine resource and energy development, deep-sea offshore wind power, marine pipeline and cable engineering, and marine observation and forecasting.

      This conference was hosted by theSoil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Branch of the China Civil Engineering Societyand jointly organized by the Hainan Research Institute of Zhejiang University, Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., the Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration, and the International Joint Research Center for Marine Civil Engineering of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The conference attracted more than 130 peers, experts, and university faculty and students from units including Zhejiang University, COOEC, Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, Dalian University of Technology, Harbin Engineering University, China University of Petroleum, Southeast University, the Hainan Deep Sea Technology Innovation Center, East China Investigation and Design Institute, the EHV Power Transmission Company of China Southern Power Grid, the Tianjin Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, DNV, CCS, and NGI.
