On October 27, the pile foundation construction of the Dahe Grand Bridge, a controlling project of the sixth contract section of the Hubei Lixian Expressway invested and constructed by Hubei Communications Investment and undertaken by China Energy Engineering Corporation's Gezhouba Road and Bridge Company, was fully completed.

The Dahe Grand Bridge is located in Tangya Town, Xianfeng County, with a total length of 1,369 meters and a maximum pier height of 170 meters. As the tallest bridge on the entire Lixian Expressway, it spans the deep valley and gorge of the Dahe River. Its complex construction conditions make it a key and difficult part of the project. During construction, the project department held safety and technical briefings, formulated detailed construction plans, and made thorough arrangements for machinery allocation, quality control, and safety management; methods such as using chutes to transport concrete, manual operations on narrow surfaces, and building construction access roads along the mountain were adopted to overcome the difficulties of vertical material transportation and narrow working surfaces, ensuring the smooth progress of pile foundation construction.

Since entering the fourth quarter, the project department has seized the fine weather, stepped up construction according to project milestones, and vigorously advanced the construction progress. At present, the pile foundations, circular piers, and tie beams of the Dahe Grand Bridge have all been completed, 93% of the pile caps have been completed, 78.6% of the bent caps, and 75% of the abutments. Next, all project personnel will firm up their confidence, muster their energy, strive toward the milestones, and work tirelessly to achieve the annual production and operation targets.
