On October 6, the "Pearl River No. 1" pipe jacking machine successfully broke through at the end of its drive in the section from Working Shaft 5 to Working Shaft 4, marking a major breakthrough in the construction progress of the Pearl River Power Cable Tunnel and the smooth completion of the first pipe-jacking section.

The Pearl River Power Cable Tunnel project undertaken by the company has a total length of 1,520.6 meters and consists of caisson working shafts, pipe-jacking sections, and cut-and-cover sections, among which the pipe-jacking section is 1,482.4 meters long, with a cross-section 3.32 meters wide and 4.42 meters high. The project is organized into one cut-and-cover section and four pipe-jacking sections, with two pipe-jacking machines deployed for construction, and is characterized by a tight schedule and heavy tasks. As a supporting facility of the Guangzhou Nansha District All-People Cultural and Sports Complex, the Pearl River Power Cable Tunnel project will further improve the power network layout in Nansha District, enhance its power supply capacity, provide strong support for the economic and social development of Nansha District, meet the load demand of Nansha's large urban complex, and serve and safeguard the electricity supply for the 15th National Games in 2025, which is of great significance.

The pipe-jacking section from Working Shaft 5 to Working Shaft 4 completed this time is 338.7 meters long. During construction, in the face of numerous difficulties such as high requirements for surface settlement control, precise reception over long-distance jacking, and attitude control of vertical pipe jacking, the project department did not wait or rely on others. Relying on the Party member assault team and the technical research group, it broke down tasks in detail and assigned responsibilities at every level. Through study visits, external consultation, and pooling collective wisdom, it continuously optimized construction procedures and innovated construction methods, comprehensively improving the safety factor and stability of vertical pipe jacking and ensuring the smooth jacking and reception of the pipe. The safe and successful completion of the first pipe-jacking section not only took a solid step toward the goal of full-line completion but also laid a solid foundation for the overall advancement of the project.

Next, the "Pearl River No. 1" pipe jacking machine will set off again and move to the pipe-jacking section from Working Shaft 4 to Working Shaft 3.
